Indonesia reports 103rd bird flu death

JAKARTA -- A 29-year-old Indonesian woman has died of bird flu, bringing the death toll from the virus in the Southeast Asian country to 103, the health ministry said Monday.

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistani authorities confirmed on Monday a fresh outbreak of the H5N1 strain of bird flu at a poultry farm on the outskirts of Karachi, the second case in four days in the country's biggest city, a government official said.


Indonesia Reports 101 Bird Flu Fatalities


Jakarta, January 29, 2008 - Ministry of Health - Indonesia has recorded four new confirmed cases of human avian influenza.Nas from Tangerang District, MIY from Depok Municipality, Res and Vir from East Jakarta are confirmed to be infected by H5N1 virus based on the test results from the Health Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Health and Eijkman Institute dated January 27 2008.
