RI resumes sending of H5NI Virus to WHO laboratory

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia has resumed the sending of H5N1 Avian Influenza virus to the World Health Organization Collaborating Center (WHO-CC)`s laboratory in Atlanta, the United States, after having stopped it since January 2007 over a disagreement about the transfer mechanism, a minister said.

Feb 18, 2008 (CIDRAP News) – Chinese health officials said today that a 22-year-old man died of H5N1 avian influenza in the country's first reported case this year, as health ministries in Indonesia and Vietnam reported three more H5N1 infections, two of them fatal.
